*** New 'Stampers 6' Club *** (Please scroll down for new posts)

I am starting a new Stampers 6 Club in July and need to fill 3 spaces - interested, then please read on

First a quick explanation of what a Stampers 6 Club is. You need to commit to spending £25 (+ p&p) each month for 6 months. During one of those months you will receive £25 Hostess Pounds to spend on anything in any current catalogue (the 'free' £25 spend is in addition to your monthly commitment) that means, in your chosen month, you will get £50 worth of products for your normal spend of £25.
In addition to this I am offering free p&p (worth £4.95) for the first month and each month you will also receive a free handcrafted gift and card from me to say thank you.

Interested in finding out more? Please feel free to contact me at margaretk21@hotmail. co.uk or telephone 01933 663477 and I'll be very happy to help

Simples Sunday

A sad fact is that sometimes you need a card like the one I am showing you today and, due to the very nature of the card, you usually want to make one fairly quickly.
This is a super quick card using the chevron stamp from the new stamp set, Work of Art, along with the image and sentiment from Love & Sympathy which I am pleased to say is carrying over to the new catalogue.
The chevron is stamped in Smoky Slate and the image and sentiment in black StazOn then the panel was matted on Smoky Slate and then onto a white card blank..
Have a great Sunday and I'll be back soon

Handbag Gift Holder

I have been busy this week and have neglected my blog so I have popped on very quickly tonight to show you a bag that we made at our class last month - the ladies loved it! Quite a long time ago I made small versions of this which held a lip salve but Elaine, at Papercraft Button, made a larger version which reminded me about them again! Elaine's version, along with all the measurements AND a video tutorial, can be found here. While you are there do have a look at the other fabulous projects Elaine has posted.
This one was made with Very Vanilla cardstock teamed up with paper from the Modern Medley DSP pack which, by the way, is only available until the end of the month so get it while you can. I have also used Flower Shop and Petite Petals with the co-ordinating punches and the handles were made with the Circles Framelits.
That's all for now, I'll be back soon

Simples Sunday Watercolour

Unusually for me I didn't get round to making a card for yesterday's new challenge over at LIM which is 'Watercolour'. However, after going to bed last night and still being awake at 3 a.m, I decided I might just as well get up and what else can you do at that time of the morning other than craft??
I don't have many stamp sets that lend themselves to watercolouring but I thought this flower, from Flower Shop, would fit the bill quite nicely. I started by stamping a flower onto Whisper White using the new In Colour Blackberry Bliss, added a post-it mask before adding another flower then set to with my Aqua Painter. I began by blending the ink already stamped then added a little more ink to give more depth. I then repeated this on a scrap of Whisper White and punched this flower out with the Pansy Punch. The stripey image from Gorgeous Grunge was stamped in Crumb Cake and the sentiment from Four You in Blackberry Bliss before matting onto Crumb Cake cardstock and then onto a card blank. The punched flower was added using dimensionals and a few Basic Pearls added to the centre.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday whatever you're doing. For me it's ironing, shopping, visiting Mum then getting ready for a bit of a hectic week at work - and it's another weekend over!!!
Back soon

Oh dear I nearly forgot to say a big thank you to the ladies at LIM for choosing one of my cards to showcase this week and also to all the people who have left me such lovely comments - I really do appreciate it x

Pleasant Poppies and the New Blendabilities

Today I have an A5 card to show you made with the background stamp, Pleasant Poppies, and the new SU Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities. I started by stamping the image in black Memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock then used the three Blendabilities pens to colour in the flowers. The stems were coloured using the new 'In Colour' Mossy Meadow marker pen. The panel was matted onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock with a piece of knotted Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon tied around before matting onto the A5 card blank.
I finished the card with a sentiment from Work of Art (another new stamp set available on 1st July). I love the new Blendabilities and look forward to getting some of the other colours - I do find 'colouring in' very therapeutic!

If you would liek to order any products please don't hesitate to contact me on 01933 663477 or email margaretk21@hotmail.com and I'll be very happy to help. If you would like to find out more about my new Stampers 6 Club, starting in July, please find all the details in the post at the top of my blog.
Until next time, happy crafting

Sneak Peek Week - 3

Another card made with Work of Art, this time using the new Blackberry Bliss (stamped off for a lighter tone) and Pistachio Pudding. Believe it or not the inspiration for this colour combo came from a box which a pair of shoes came in- not two colours I would have thought of putting together, had I not seen something very similar, but one that I really quite like!
The sentiment is from Label Something, punched with the Artisan Punch and popped up on dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by

Sneak Peek Week - 2

Here is another card made with the up and coming new stamp set, Work of Art. I can't take any credit at all for coming up with the idea of using one of the images to make a flower but it is a clever one! I also can't credit the person who originally thought of it because there are so may out there in blogland it's almost impossible to track down the originator but, whoever you are, thank you!
A really simple card using Lost Lagoon (one of the 2014-16 In Colours) and Basic Black, stamped on Whisper White, matted onto Lost Lagoon cardstock, then onto a card blank. The sentiment is also from Work of Art.
That's all for today but do pop back tomorrow for another Work of Art card

Sneak Peek Week

I thought I would do a 'sneek peek' this week of some brand new products coming up in the 2014 catalogue, which starts on the 1st July. As a demonstrator you get the chance to pre-order certain products and these are some of my goodies.
As well as showing you a fabulous new stamp set, Work of Art, I thought I would start off the week by showing you the new In Colours. Left to right, and starting at the top, we have Tangelo Twist & Blackberry Bliss then Hello Honey & Mossy Meadow and finishing at the bottom with Lost Lagoon. The sentiment is also from Work of Art and the image from Flowering Flourishes which is carrying over to the new catalogue.

Like the look of these new colours and the stamp set then I'm sure you're going to love lots more of the brand new goodies in the 2014 catalogue. If you would like a copy of the new catalogue, or would like to order any products, then please give me a call or drop me an email and I'll be very happy to help. Don't forget that I am hoping to start a new Stampers 6 Club in July where you can earn free products - for more details see the post at the top of my blog.
Pop back tomorrow to see another card made with the Work of Art set which I will be featuring for the rest of the week.
Until then, happy crafting

Simples Sunday

Today's Simples Sunday card is another entry into this week's LIM challenge - a One Layer, Off the Edge card.
I have used the Simply Stars stamp set which is retiring, the wood mount has already sold out but the clear mount is still available at the moment. I used two of the images and stamped them in Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party. The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts, stamped in Bermuda Bay. I added just a few Basic Rhinestones for a little bit of sparkle!
Enjoy your Sunday

Off the Edge

Firstly I must apologise for going AWOL again this week and not managing to get round to commenting on the LIM entries. I still can't shake off this wretched cold and have also had a problem with my leg so have not felt like doing much at all other than going to work each day - and that's only because I have to!
Anyway onto this week's LIM challenge which is a 'One Layer - Off the Edge' card and this is my entry. I wanted to keep away from flowers so I decided to make a card suitable for a male using the good old Gorgeous Grunge. I started by cutting a mask from a piece of copy paper, laid this onto the card base and stamped the larger 'splodge' in Smoky Slate then overstamped the smaller image in Basic Grey. I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment from Sassy Salutations, again using Basic Grey and that's it!!

I have just hung my washing out and now the skies seem to be getting darker & darker. To get it back in or not - decisions, decisions :0)
Thank you to all those who have left such lovely comments on my blog this week and I promise I will try to get round to look at a lot more entries this week.
Have a great weekend

Simples Sunday

For my Simples Sunday card I have once again taken inspiration from the LIM challenge which is 'the colour of your bedroom'. Posting a little early for Sunday as I am babysitting at my daughters and it may be a bit late in the morning!
As I said yesterday, my bedroom is in dire need of a makeover but at the moment the colour scheme is lilac and neutrals so this is my card.
I stamped the stripes from Work of Art (a new set available in July) onto Very Vanilla using Crumb Cake. Some loops of Linen Thread were added and three Petite Petals flowers, punched from Wisteria Wonder cardstock and inked around the edges, were placed on top. For some added interest I placed a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock across the bottom with a sentiment stamped in Wisteria Wonder. And that is a massive porkie pie :0) I added the strip because my stamping directly onto the card went wrong so quick fix needed!!!! The panel was matted onto a 4" x 4" Wisteria Wonder card blank and the pearls are non-SU just because they matched!
Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by

LIM Colour Challenge

The LIM Colour Challenge this week is to use the colour of your bedroom. Now my bedroom is in desperate need of re-decorating, it has been the same boring colour (lilac and cream) for several years, so I have used the colours in my spare bedroom instead which are pale blue, light grey with a touch of black and brushed silver (the duvet cover is pictured above right)
As a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator I am lucky enough to be able to pre-order products which aren't available to customers until 1st July and the stamp set I have used here, Work of Art, is one of those.
I have to admit I wasn't sure about it when I ordered it but now it's here I can't stop using it!
I stamped the background image in Soft Sky and Smoky Slate, with the sentiment and heart in Black StazOn, onto Whisper White cardstock before matting onto Brushed Silver cardstock and a white card blank. To finish the card off I added three Candy Dots in Whisper White, Smoky Slate and Basic Black.

I need three more customers to join my Stampers 6 club, starting in July, so if you would like to know more about this then see the sticky post at the top of my blog. Oh and don't forget I am offering free p&p (worth £4.95) with any order to the value of £35 during June. My contact details on are on my blog and I would love to hear from you.

Until next time have a lovely weekend and I'll be back soon

Simples Sunday

If you are here to see my LIM Guest Designer cards you will need to scroll down but, while you're here, I would love you to take a look around x
Onto my Simples Sunday card

A really simple card for you today using some DSP from the Fresh Prints Stack. This is a beautiful stack of paper and is only available until the end of June from the Spring/Summer catalogue. I matted it onto Crumb Cake cardstock and tied a knot of Crumb Cake Seam Binding around before matting onto a card blank. A butterfly, from Papillon Potpourri, was stamped in Coastal Cabana and punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. This was positioned on top of another butterfly punched from Coastal Cabana cardstock. The sentiment, punched with the Word Window Punch, is from Express Yourself and matted onto a Large Oval. The pearls are from my own stash because they matched the Crumb Cake so well!!
If you would like to order any SU products, either from the catalogues or the Retiring List (link at top of sidebar), then don't forget I am offering free p&p (normally £4.95) with any order of £35 or over until the end of June. You can either email me at margaretk21@hotmail.com or telephone 01933 663477 and I'll be very happy to help.
Thanks for visiting
